Is SMF Eco-Friendly
The Sourland Mountain Festival has partnered with our local Green Team to move towards making the festival a Zero Waste Event, the goal of which is to eliminate waste by reducing packaging, reusing, recycling and composting as much as possible. We are strongly-encouraging our food vendors to use compostable cups and plates. Vendors may not sell Single use plastic, including water/beverage bottles. Guests and Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water/beverage bottles. Free water will be located at stations on festival grounds.
Be sure to stop by and visit the Festival's Green Initiative Tents!
Is SMF family friendly?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring everyone from your family reunion, birthday, and graduation party - the more the merrier! Sorry no pet friends please, service dogs only. We have plenty of activities for all ages, Sourland history to learn about, Cool Critters to meet, Bicycles to ride on the trail, food and beverages to drink, crafts and services vendors to visit and more.

Where do I sit?
We provide the field, you provide the seats. Bring a blanket, a lawn-chair, and some shade. You can always sit on the grass, or dance the entire time! We leave that up to you..
The Festival will be held rain or shine, no refunds
Summertime weather forecasts fluctuate frequently. For the last few years, thunderstorms have been forecast on the day of the Festival.
They passed right by - and added to the beautiful sunset!
