About
Sweet, sweet music on the mountain…
This is the 19th year the Sourland Mountain Festival brings the communities of the Central New Jersey region together and presents the best in musical talent, local food and drink, family fun – and a spectacular view.
Proceeds from the Sourland Mountain Festival benefit the Sourland Conservancy, a non-profit organization that works to protect the Sourland Mountain region. The 90-square-mile Sourland region is home to the largest contiguous forest in Central New Jersey. The sparsely populated area includes parts of Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer counties, and encompasses a complex ecosystem of forest, wetlands and grasslands.
The Sourlands are currently under the threat of losing One Million Trees due to the Emerald Ash Borer. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.
Tom Marshall, longtime lyricist for the jam band Phish who now lives in the Sourland Mountain region said, “I hike in the Sourland Mountain Preserve (Hillsborough trails) all the time. Any charity that helps a cool cause like this, we love to support.”
Festival-goers get music all day, and get to learn about the history and wildlife of the Mountain. Bring your: friends and family, lawn chairs and blankets; plan to sit back and enjoy the party. Check out our powerful musical lineup from the region’s most exciting musicians.
Food, wine, spirits, craft beer vendors will be on-hand for your convenience! We strongly encourage our food vendors to use compostable cups and plates and not sell Single use plastics, including beverage bottles.
Guests and Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water/beverage bottles. Water will be available from two water stations on festival grounds.
Mountain Fest beverage glasses, T-shirts and other Sourland Conservancy merchandise will be sold at the Festival.
Relax, enjoy the view & help Save The Sourlands at the same time!
